GallantIPZIP Services

GallantIPZIP is a proprietory e-mail delivery service provided by Gallantry. It provides precise and on time e-mail delivery using your own domain name no matter what type of Internet connection your GallantWEB uses. In addition, GallantIPZIP provides primary and/or secondary Domain Name System (DNS) hosting for your domains.

There are two versions of the GallantIPZIP service:

• GallantIPZIP - for (1) GallantWEB using a dial-on-demand (intermittent) Internet connection or (2) GallantWEB with a dynamic IP address.
• GallantIPZIP(LT) - for GallantWEB using a full-time Internet connection with a fixed (static) IP address.

GallantIPZIP

In order to provide e-mail service through an Internet connection with a dynamic IP address or a dial-on-demand Internet connection, special arrangements must be made to ensure reliable e-mail delivery. When people send e-mail to users on your network, your GallantWEB may be offline, or its IP address may have changed. The e-mail message will be bounced back or lost if no arrangement is made to handle these situations.

GallantIPZIP is a proprietary technology developed by Gallantry to ensure reliable mail delivery. In order to use the GallantIPZIP services, Gallantry must host the DNS for your domain. The GallantIPZIP service is free for the first month. A monthly fee of $20 per domain will be charged thereafter.

GallantIPZIP service includes:

1. Assistance in registering a new Internet domain name or transferring the DNS of an existing domain to be hosted by Gallantry.
2. DNS hosting for the domain.
3. Unlimited e-mail forwarding and spooling. When your GallantWEB is offline, Gallantry e-mail servers can temporarily hold your incoming e-mail. E-mail messages will be forwarded to your GallantWEB at a pre-configured interval.

GallantIPZIP(LT)

If your GallantWEB has a full-time Internet connection with a fixed IP address, incoming e-mail can reach your GallantWEB directly at any time. However, in order for people on the Internet to send e-mail to your GallantWEB, you must have a registered domain name associated with the IP address. Registering a domain name requires at least two DNS servers. GallantIPZIP(LT) service can provide DNS hosting for your domain. In case your Internet connection experiences an outage, GallantIPZIP(LT) service can also temporarily hold your e-mail messages and deliver them when your Internet connection is resumed.

GallantIPZIP(LT) service includes:

1. Assistance in registering a new Internet domain name or transferring the DNS of an existing domain to be hosted by Gallantry.
2. DNS hosting for the domain.
3. E-mail spooling. When your GallantWEB is offline, Gallantry e-mail servers can temporarily hold your incoming e-mail.

GallantIPZIP(LT) service is free for up to 2 domains per licensed GallantWEB. Additional domains can be hosted for a monthly fee of $10 per domain.
